Record-early snow hit parts of South Carolina, leaving thousands without power as the eastern part of the country was blasted with cold. These conditions mimic snow removal in Philadelphia.

"This has been a historic event," News19 Meteorologist Daniel Bonds told WLTX. "It's unprecedented. I've run out of adjectives to describe it."

The previous earliest recorded snowfall in the Columbia, S.C., area was on Nov. 9, 1913.

Snow, cold and wind stretch across the eastern part of the country where highs will be 10 to 20 degrees below average from the Mississippi Valley to the East Coast, says meteorologist Tom Moore from the Weather Channel.

I am predicting a terrible winter based upon the weather Almanac and the weather patterns we have experienced this summer and fall. According to the Weather Almanac, this winter will produce heavy snowfall. Regardless, Dependable Snow Removal will be ready for whatever weather event that arrives in Philadelphia.
